![]() If you create and/or use gallery poses, you know how much needed this is. And before I could finish my sentence this amazing person just made it possible and was kind enough to allow me to share this mod! We’re lucky to have the very talented ThePancake1 in our Discord, so I asked him today about the possibility to switch off the mirroring of the poses. #colors #mood #names #yourgalleryname #anythingrelated.Simplyanjuta: No More Mirroring Mod □□|□ So if you want your sims to be found by others in the long term -> #hastagthemlikecrazy. Nothing inside the description box is searchable. Note: When you alter the gallery images with S4TI, your household will be tagged as “with cc”, even if you don’t use cc at all.įinal Pro Tip: The search in the ts4 gallery is flawed & limited to the header. Note: You don´t need any additional mods like pose player to use the CAS poses. Note: This method also works for rooms etc. There is also a glitch in S4TI that allows you to have a different mid sized preview image, which means you can have up to 3 different images for one sim on the gallery.Ĩ) When you are satisfied, switch back to ts4 and upload your sim with the custom images to the gallery (optional) If two images aren’t enough, you can duplicate the sim and use those additional slots to show off your sim with even more images. Just make sure you close the gallery view inside ts4 while altering the images. This allows you to check how the image actually looks in-game. If you need to alter it again, close the gallery/library preview first.Ĭan have Sims 4 and S4TI open while you replace the gallery images, This also has to be done upfront.ħ) Switch to the game and check if it shows up correctly. Note: Since EA only allows one additional image per sim, you can go fancy and crop some screenshots togeher for the first image like I did with Paint. Then select the screenshots you took / cropped earlier, click -> Open ImageĦ) Once the image is loaded click -> Apply Play around with cropping in IrfranView / Paint to get a feel for it. So if you want a good full body shot in the second image, leave / add additional head room before cropping. Although they both seem to be rectangles in-game - the second image is actually a square. Click on that cryptic name for a preview…Īs you see the aspect ratios of the first and second image are quite odd. There are multiple entries in that list, depending on how many sims you have in that household.įor one sim (tray file) the lower entry is usually the second image, the one above the main image. The screenshots are usually saved here: “C:\Users\username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Screenshots”Ĥ) Crop the image accordingly in IrfranView (or Paint)ĥ) Open S4TI and select the sim you want to alter the preview images (double click) For the gallery previews it can work - if you don’t zoom in too much (and/or crop the image afterwards).Ģ) Start the game and take some screenshots in CAS as usual, use custom poses for different traits (press -> C)ģ) Change to desktop and preview / choose the images in IrfranView. Note: Be aware that the custom CAS backrounds are 1024px max, so they are pretty bad quality. ![]() This also means you need to have your in-game graphics set to max / ultra.ġ) Download & put the CAS lighting mod, a CAS background and some CAS poses in your mods folder. Why not take the sims outside and use the in-game photomode & scenes?īecause the light in-game sucks is really bad and you will spend hours in ps or that shady reshade preset to get this right. (scroll down to “For custom gallery screenshots”) You can find the links to all you need in my old CAS basics tutorial -> here. For addtional effect you can combine all this with the CAS lighting mod (free) and some CAS poses (most are free). You also will need CAS backgrounds (free), this is basically your background scene or color. You’ll need S4TI and IrfranView (or Paint). ![]() Method is basically taking screenshots, while inside CAS, with customīackgrounds & poses, then replace the images within the tray files with Simply put - this is not possible in-game - you have to alter / replace the preview images for each sim outside the game. It still requires some efford & mods but if you lazy & want your sims stand out on the gallery read on… ![]() My method requires no photoshop, no gimp, no greenscreens, no editing, no reshade, no hours wasted… There are already other tutorials out there on how to do it, but as you may know, I’m lazy af and usually don’t edit anything. So I made this quick tutorial how I do it. I often get asked how to change / make the colored / background preview images for the ts4 gallery. How to change the gallery preview images (ts4)
